Young Embroiderers' (JETS)

Next Meeting: Saturday 4th January 2020...

The Young Embroiderers section of the Embroiderer's Guild encourages and supports young people between the ages of 5-18 who want to enjoy being creative with fabric, threads and stitches.

Young people of all levels of ability are welcome and caters for those making their first stitches right up to students wanting to base their careers on this area of art and design.

Our Young Embroiderers have been taking part in the National '100 Hearts War Stories' project to commemorate the ending of WWI.

Here are some of the postcards the group have designed and been stitching for the exhibition.

Making Dorset Posies

Sarah Henderson says: "We loved the Dorset Posies and dream catchers the Young Embroiderers made and how they translated the stitches and ideas into their own designs. This was our first session in the new venue at Wharton Park. The natural light flooding into the room was fantastic and we can’t wait for future sessions.
